چکیده
The US Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a future facility to be built at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) study collisions of polarized electrons with protons and ions. It will provide answers fundamental questions on quark gluon interactions such as: how colored partons colorless jets travel in nuclear medium, properties state matter high density (low-x) regime, distribution quarks, gluons, their spin inside nucleon. EIC expected run luminosity 10 32 -10 34 cm -2 sec -1 center-of-mass energy 20-140 GeV [1]. ATHENA (A Totally Hermetic Electron Nucleus Apparatus) one detector designs provided as response call for proposal issued by Project 2021. consists tracking system wide pseudorapidity coverage (|η|<3.5), granularity (pixel size inner layers ~10 μm), low material budget (0.05% X 0 per layer) innermost silicon achieve good vertexing performances.

The Electron-Ion Collider
The future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a proposed new facility to collide high-energy electrons with beams of polarized protons/light nuclei and unpolarized nuclei. We overview the goals of the project and key measurements at the EIC. We also briefly comment on recent developments of the project.
متن کاملAn Electron-Ion Collider at Jefferson lab
As explained in the oral presentation [1], the original plans for an electron-ion collider (ELIC) at Jefferson Lab involved the construction of two figure-of-eight rings, intersecting at up to four collision points, with a proton energy of 30-225 GeV (30-100 GeV/A for ions up to Pb) and electrons (and positrons) from 3 to 9 GeV [2]. Since the construction of such a facility must await completio...
متن کاملUpgrades of the Experimental Setup for Electron Beam Self-modulation Studies at Pitz
The self-modulation instability is fundamental for the plasma wakefield acceleration experiment of the AWAKE collaboration at CERN where this effect is supposed to be used to generate proton bunches short enough for producing high acceleration fields. For ease of experimentation it was decided to set up a supporting experiment at the electron accelerator PITZ (Photo Injector Test facility at DE...
متن کاملe+A physics at a future Electron-Ion Collider
s = 63 158 (40 110) GeV/A for e+p (e+A) collisions. Whilst gluon distributions have been studied extensively in nucleons at HERA, there is very little information on them for x < 0.1 in nuclei. The rapid increase in the gluon momentum distribution at low-x in nucleons found at HERA, if not tamed, leads to the violation of the Froissart Unitarity Bound at small-x. This can be achieved in non-lin...
متن کاملSetup for Collider Physics
I report on our construction and analysis of the effective low energy Lagrangian for the Minimal Walking Technicolor (MWT) model [1]. The parameters of the effective Lagrangian are constrained by imposing modified Weinberg sum rules and by imposing a value for the S parameter estimated from the underlying Technicolor theory. The constrained effective Lagrangian allows for an inverted vector vs....
